Vials for deep cold storage - key results

A growing number of drugs like gene therapies, mRNA-, DNA- and viral vector vaccines require storage down to – 80 °C.

At these low temperatures the vial behavior may be impacted in a way that flaws in combination with thermal stresses can lead to an increased risk of breakage although glass is thermally stable. Another question arising is if container closure integrity (CCI) is stable under these changed environmental conditions.

Thorough CCI- and strength tests have been performed after storage at – 80 °C. Learn about the results in this webinar that can help you to understand the fit of vials for deep freezing temperatures.
