EVERIC® strong and smooth – Results from production line tests, i.e. with F. Hoffmann-La Roche

Standard pharmaceutical bulk fill-and-finish processes can introduce various damages to containers starting from cosmetic defects (as scratches or abrasions) to occasional glass breakage, leading to rejects and disruptions during manufacturing. We also cover an introduction to our EVERIC® strong module that shows how the inherent strength of a vial can be increased by optimizing the geometry with in the ISO tolerances. EVERIC® smooth is one part of SCHOTT’s new modular vial concept, comprising an outer coating that aims to improve the overall processing performance on bulk production lines.
