EVERIC® strong and smooth – Results from production line tests
Standard pharmaceutical bulk fill-and-finish processes can introduce various damages to containers, from cosmetic defects (scratches or abrasions) to occasional glass breakage, leading to rejects and disruptions during manufacturing.
EVERIC® smooth is one part of SCHOTT Pharma’s modular EVERIC® vial concept, comprising an outer coating that aims to improve the overall processing performance on bulk production lines. In this Pharmaversity® session, the results of a comparative filling line trial with EVERIC® smooth vials at F. Hoffmann-La Roche will be presented. We will also cover an introduction to EVERIC® strong that shows how the inherent strength of a vial can be increased by optimizing the geometry within the ISO tolerances.
