SCHOTT Pharma employs around 4,800 scientists, pioneers, and problem solvers in North America, Europe, Asia, and Latin America. We operate 17 GMP-compliant manufacturing sites spread across the globe to serve our clients locally and shorten delivery times.

A strong heritage

Company founder Otto Schott demonstrated his pioneering spirit not only through his research and development work with glass; by deciding to follow the example of co-founders Ernst Abbe and Roderich Zeiss and transferring his shares in SCHOTT to the Carl Zeiss Stiftung in 1919, he laid the foundation for permanently embedding innovative strength, entrepreneurship, and social responsibility within the company. To this day, the foundation, whose purpose is to promote research and education in mathematics, IT, natural sciences, and technology, holds 100% of the shares in SCHOTT AG—and thus, indirectly, the majority stake in SCHOTT Pharma, which went public in 2023.
